Daily practice is done in class daily. Whatever is not finished in class is strongly suggested to be finished at home for extra practice.
Graded homework assignments will be watching video lessons and taking the required notes in preparation for the next day. This provides more class time for math work and allows students some practice before they come into class for the lesson, providing familiarity with the concept and a foundation to go more in depth in class.
2. COLLECTING COMPLETED WORK
Students are to turn assignments in to eBackPack. Students should make sure their name and date are on their paper before turning it in. If work is handed in digitally via eBackpack, it is the student's responsibility to turn it into the correct assignment folder. Any work that is not turned in to the designated eBackpack assignment folder after the due date is considered late.
3. KEEPING RECORDS/PROVIDING FEEDBACK
Ms. Ryan will enter scores for all assignments as they are graded. Her goal is to get graded work back to students the next day or, at the latest the same week they were due. Missing assignments will be posted at the beginning of each week in the online gradebook. Check TxConnect for grades every Monday.
4. LATE AND MISSING ASSIGNMENTS
Any late assignments (other than those due to absences) immediately lose 10 points. A student has up to one week to make up an assignment; after that it becomes a zero in the gradebook.
A student who begins to exhibit a chronic pattern of late or missing assignments will have a parent/teacher/student conference.
